Annual Outdoor Theatre Production

Every year the teaching team writes and produces a piece of theatre which is performed outside our building in Aljezur and at Parque de Merendas in the forest behind Barão de São João.

The cast not only includes tutors and students from our school, but also children and adults from the local community.  The “Play in the Parque” is a wonderful family experience and, having had our tenth production last year, it  has become quite a social event in the area, with more and more people becoming involved every year.

Play in the Parque 2023 was “Jack and the Bean Sprout”, and took the audience on a hilarious journey through time to meet colourful fairy tale characters from the past.  The final message behind the madness and mayhem was that, as long as they are not hurting anyone, everyone has the right to be who they want to be.
