On Friday 28th April, we formed a human blue ribbon on our school grounds, an event repeated in many schools in Portugal on the same day to mark the Month for the Prevention of Child Abuse. This Blue Ribbon movement began in 1989 in the USA when a concerned grandmother, Bonnie Finney, tied a symbolic blue ribbon to the antenna of her van as a signal to involve everybody in the battle to stop child abuse. The colour blue is also said to represent the bruises sustained by victims of physical abuse. Thank you so much to Liam for his amazing drone shots.
