Education With Inspiration

German Language and Literature

I have been teaching German at Aljezur International for a year. Since I was fourteen, I’ve been working with children and teenagers. I spent my childhood in the south of Germany and studied Special Education at the University of Cologne with a focus on German language and mathematics for kids with emotional and social needs. In addition to school and college, I organised youth camps and gave swimming classes. After completing my studies, I went travelling in Europe, Australia, South America and the Middle East. Finally, I settled down in the Western Algarve.

Inspired by alternative ways of living, I joined a community where we share the garden, kitchen and lots of work. Teamwork, individual support based on personal interest and practical experiences is not only part of my community life but also my basic principles of teaching kids. As well as teaching at the international school, I also work in a home-schooling project and teach teenagers from Germany with emotional and social needs.
