I am delighted to be joining the team at Aljezur International. I have just returned to Portugal after going back to London for a year to complete my PGCE with QTS, and I am looking forward to being part of the local school and community. I love teaching Maths and helping students understand mathematical concepts and methods. Prior to my training I taught English as a Foreign Language to students of all ages and nationalities. When I was younger I worked as a teaching assistant in South London. I have always loved teaching, working with children, and getting involved in school life.
In my 3 year break from teaching I travelled the world collecting experiences and skills in gardening, building and art. I did many jobs and projects including wall murals, stage building, art installations, flower transplanting, gardening, labouring and landscaping. I ran a crochet business with friends and studied two courses in yoga and ayurveda. These experiences contribute to my creativity and adaptability as a teacher now. I have just moved into a house in Espiche with my partner who is from Germany, and beautiful mountain dog who I adopted from Monchique. I am looking forward to working in a creative school with so many opportunities for active learning.
